As you can imagine, people from every walk of life show up…and so did my angel, a older gentleman innocently sitting at a picnic table waiting for his girlfriend to return from getting some food.
Here is how our encounter went:
Me: “Is this seat available?”
Man: “Yes it is, my lovely girlfriend can sit next to me when she returns from ordering food.”
Me: “My friend is also roaming around trying to make a decision on what to eat, so I thought I’d wait for her here.”
Man: “Ahh, one of the gifts women offer…”
Me: “What do you mean?”
Man: “Your intensity to explore all possibilities and details before making a choice has taught me to be more attentive with my life. Details were never important to me until I met my girlfriend. She’s opened my eyes to all that is possible…even with day-to-day things.”
Me: “That is so beautiful. On behalf of all women, thank you for acknowledging our gift. You sound like a man truly in love.”
Man: “I am. In fact, this is my second chance of blissful love. You see, I lost my wife, the love of my life, 15 years ago to cancer. I was devastated but at the same time I felt lucky to have lived with such a loving woman. And then 3 years ago, I met HER…a woman that gave me the same depth of love as my deceased wife.”
Me: “Wow, I can feel your love for her. It’s so beautiful.”
Man: “For this kind of love, one needs to be patient.”
Me: “What do you mean?”
Man: “Well, finding love is like looking for socks in a long and deep drawer.”
Me: (I smiled)
Man: “What I have learned in my journey with love...only choose someone who makes you feel special every time he/she is with you.”
Me: “Tell me more about that.”
Man: “Don’t choose a person that does not – (he uses a French expression- Les babines suivent pas les bottines) ….walk his talk. You run the other way when someone is out of integrity…it’s the most important value. Many people say all the right things but don’t act on what they say. Actions always speak louder than words.”
Me: “I hear you.”
Man: “You seem like a very grounded person…you need a very grounded man.”
He then stretched out his finger at me and says, “You are special, he’s coming.”
I stretch mine out to meet his and say, “Merci, I honour you.”
So I’m sharing this story because I am a seeker of love. And love comes in different shapes, ages and genders during your lifetime. And his words, his energy were like a gift of love, which I thoroughly embraced.
As a feminine seeker of love, I remain curious to the most simple of experiences because that is where happiness lies. This conversation reminded me of 3 important reflections that I want to impart to you:
1) The beauty and gift of the feminine is our attention to details.
Liza Minnelli once said, “Each song is like a movie to me. I consider every detail, the color of the carpet, the texture of the curtains, the scent and mood in the room, all of it makes me fully experience the song….this is why I am good at what I do.”
This man fully embraced the feminine gift and knows that with it, he is a better man.
Be receptive and present with life’s intricate details; its uncovering can bring you gifts.
2) “Les babines suivent les bottines” - Walk your talk. Every day in all aspects of my life, I try to be aware if I am walking my talk. And I only want to surround myself with people who do the same. In the past, I accepted men that did not, which left me feeling like I was not enough. Today, I know I am enough and want to be with a man/men who feel the same way.
3) Patience. Life’s journey is unique for each person. What your essence and spirit is longing for has its own exclusive path. It’s like digging through a deep and long drawer to find matching socks - it requires the want to search and the letting go as to how and when it will show up.
So there you have it. I do believe in angels…especially in the human form because it keeps my faith in humanity alive.
Have a blessed day meeting your human angels!
Sensually Yours,
Patty
