I used to believe that being “fully alive” meant energy, joy, and radiance. But through this journey, I’ve discovered that aliveness can also look like grief. Like surrender. Like breathless awe in the face of pain.
There were nights I cried until I couldn’t anymore—holding myself in silence, unsure of what tomorrow would bring. And yet… even there, I was alive. More deeply than ever before.
Because I wasn’t numbing. I wasn’t bypassing.
I was in it. Present. Sensing. Listening.
And that’s what sacred presence really is.
It’s not always graceful. It’s not always soft.
But it is real. And real is holy.
What I want you to know—what I hope my story can offer—is that you don’t have to wait for everything to be perfect before you choose to live. You don’t have to feel strong to be strong. You don’t have to hide your fears to access your power.
Your aliveness is not found in escaping the hard parts. It’s found in feeling them fully and continuing to choose life anyway.
So, as I step back into my work with PattyContenta.com, I do so with a renewed mission:
To remind you that your body is sacred,
That your presence is powerful,
And that being fully alive includes it all.
And I’ll be walking this path with you—every step, every breath.
